Helping Hand Food Bank works with companies, governments, nonprofits and other organizations to address the complex challenges of food insecurity that many of our family and neighbours are experiencing. Our partners contribute more than money. Their ideas, volunteer power, in-kind support and more are helping build stronger communities.

A Message about our Local
Thank you for supplying us with great emergency pails to give out to those in need.
The Helping Hand Food Bank is a member of Food Bank Canada. Food Bank Canada has a program that focuses on Sharing food at the community level. It pairs participating locations of national retailers with local community food banks across the country to provide safe, quality food including: fresh, frozen, non-perishable foods, and consumer goods. This food is weekly donated to us by Metro, Sobeys, Walmart and Zehrs. Without their support we would not have the extras to put into our food services.
Our relationship with the local vendors and their employees through the retail food program is what allows us to continue to offer such a great service. This networking enables the Helping Food Bank provide quality food to each and every person who comes through our door.
For this generosity, the Helping Food Bank simply wants to say THANK YOU!
